Dr. (Jan) Trang Dao is a therapeutic optometrist dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate eye care for patients of all ages. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2006 after completing her undergraduate degree in Business Administration at Trinity University in San Antonio in 2001.
With advanced training as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, Dr. Dao is skilled in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma and other complex ocular conditions. In addition to primary eye care, her clinical specialties include contact lenses, laser vision correction/LASIK consultation and co-management, cataract surgery co-management, and the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and dry eye disease.

Dr. Dao is an active member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association, remaining committed to advancing the profession and providing high-quality eye care to her community.
A lifelong connection to Arlington brought Dr. Dao and her husband, Dr. Peter Duong, DC, back home after completing their professional training and practicing in Dallas and Fort Worth. They are proud to call the Arlington area home, where they are raising their three active boys.
Outside of the office, Dr. Dao enjoys yoga, strength training, tennis, and pickleball. She is fluent in Vietnamese and also speaks conversational Spanish.
